Ultimate Software is seeking a Lead Account Manager (LAM) who will act as the primary service point of contact and position themselves as a trusted advisor for an assigned book of business. The primary responsibility of this position is maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty for Ultimate Software. In this role, you will be instrumental with building and maintaining strong customer relationships, collaborating with internal partners, and ensuring customer escalations are handled accordingly. LAMs will facilitate and/or delegate proactive engagements to achieve customer retention and reference-ability.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact and advocate for an assigned base of customers
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver support services
  • Develop strong relationships with internal partners and communicate with people at all levels of the organization via multiple communication platforms
  • Coordinate introduction to support process via the UltiPro Success Program
  • Respond to customer service escalations by facilitating the internal resources and tracking issues to resolution
  • Prepare and facilitate action plans to drive resolution of service experience concerns and recommend next steps
  • Provide guidance and training plan to improve adoption of the UltiPro
  • Communicate best practices to improve customer partnership
  • Review customer service experience by maintaining contact with customers, follow-up on surveys, and participate in user/focus groups
  • Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years customer service experience
  • Prior account management experience 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Comfortable working multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Strong decision making skills 
  • Strong ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers 
  • Professional business acumen
  • Positive attitude and passionate about customer loyalty
  • Proven effectiveness and confidence with difficult customer solutions 
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow through; former project management work a plus
  • Motivated and team oriented 
  •  Education/Certification/License:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and 5 years related industry experience
  • Relationship Management experience 
  • HCM industry experience a plus 
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Core Ultimate Software functionality
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting at a desk or looking at a screen most of the day.
  • Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 25%
