Purpose of Role
The Senior Finance Analyst, FP&A will serve as an integral member of the Finance team and play an active role in ensuring that the Foundation meets its short- and long-term financial objectives. This position will be responsible for analyzing Foundation financial data, identifying variances and trends, clearly communicating the data to a diverse array of stakeholders, and making recommendations to ensure alignment with the Foundation's mission and goals.
The Senior Finance Analyst, FP&A will report to the Senior Director of Finance and work closely with the OPC, Development, and Strategy teams, as well as other stakeholders across the organization.
Provide ongoing detailed financial analysis, dashboards, and reports that summarize financial activity and results across functions of the Obama Presidential Center.
Partner with senior leadership across the Foundation to provide research, reporting, and analytical support on projects, including strategic planning, impact evaluation, long-term forecasting, benchmarking, and any other quantitative analysis.
In collaboration with the Finance and OPC teams, create high-impact financial presentations, reports, and financial tools for internal and external purposes, including the creation of quarterly Board meeting materials.

Create schedules and analyses that support and inform the budgeting and planning process.

Purpose of Role
As the Email Production Specialist, you’ll be reporting directly to the Email and SMS Strategist to help the Marketing/Communications department effectively produce and disseminate email marketing messages from the Obama Foundation.
Working in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, you will help us keep our lists accurate and clean, build out email campaigns and Journeys, assist with reporting, and trouble-shoot any problems that come up with the CRM. You’ll also have the opportunity to try out new email tactics with A/B testing, contribute to the email program in a collaborative environment, and work with other departments and outside vendors to make our email program as effective and engaging as possible.

Purpose of Role
The Strategic Learning Manager for Instructional Design & Delivery will play a critical role in the development and deployment of training for staff throughout the Obama Foundation. The initial key project of focus will be crafting a comprehensive, five-week hybrid onboarding program for the Obama Presidential Center to ensure all on-site staff are aligned and prepared for the grand opening of the campus in spring of 2026. As the content and curriculum lead on this project, this role is crucial to creating an empowering initial experience for staff that is aligned with the Obama Foundation’s mission, values, and culture. Subsequent projects will include collaborating with internal teams to design and facilitate learning and training opportunities for staff across the Obama Foundation, including refreshed onboarding and training opportunities for off-site staff.
As the Strategic Learning Manager for Instructional Design & Delivery, you’ll be reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Learning and drawing on the Foundation’s core values, skills, and approaches to guide staff learning opportunities.
Support and lead aspects of the design and development of the Obama Presidential Center staff training program. This includes but is not limited to:
Creation of a curriculum scope and sequence for the training sessions.
Project management and development of curriculum.
Session design of in-house sessions, in partnership with content experts across the Foundation.
Creation of learning structures across modalities for a diverse and accessible learning experience.
Serve as the lead facilitator for the on-site onboarding program. This includes but is not limited to hiring and managing contracted facilitators for training sequences as well as supporting the creation of video content.
Support onboarding material development for Obama Foundation staff beyond the initial opening training for on-site staff.
Collaborate closely with internal Obama Foundation staff on the People Team (specifically the Director of Learning & Development and the Chief Human Resources Officer) to ensure policy and mission alignment in talent-centered elements including but not limited to onboarding and continued learning opportunities.
Design engaging, mission-driven content for Obama Presidential Center onboarding sequences, integrating organizational values and operational goals.
Create interactive training materials for both in-person and virtual learning modalities, collaborating with internal subject matter experts to address the diverse needs of the Obama Presidential Center staff and all new employees.
Translate training materials to non-cohort experience, including training staff members to deliver live, virtual, and recorded training.
Co-facilitate training sessions.
Participate in the hiring and oversight of additional contracted staff, including a part-time contracted designer to support content translation into a learning management system as well as hands-on facilitators for content delivery.
Evaluate and improve subsequent iterations of initial cohort training material.
Adult learning and instructional design experience, including translating content across modalities for diverse audiences.
Experience in staff and/or organizational training. Experience in providing an on-brand experience and/or an understanding of video assets is a plus.
Project management experience and coordinating complex projects across teams, particularly via a learning management system (ideally Absorb).
Working knowledge of facilitation principles and ability to deliver engaging live and virtual training sessions.

The Project Manager will support the successful execution of creative, marketing, editorial, and public engagement projects for the Obama Foundation and the Obama Presidential Center. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, an exceptional communicator, and has experience managing projects in a creative environment.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, External Affairs, this role will ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest level of quality.

Purpose of Role
The Senior Director of OPC and Brand Marketing will lead strategic marketing efforts to launch and sustain the Obama Presidential Center (OPC). They will partner with the CMO to lead marketing plans for the OPC and the Foundation brand visibility, engagement, and impact. This role will drive integrated marketing campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences, support the Foundation's mission, and ensure alignment across channels. As a senior leader, this individual will oversee a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver an innovative 360 marketing plan that integrates the Obama Foundation narrative and tone, and delivers on the OPC’s earned income targets and quarterly KPIs, such as ticketing and attendance.
As the Senior Director, OPC and Brand Marketing, you’ll be reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.
Oversee the development and execution of the Obama Foundation and OPC brand narrative, ensuring consistent storytelling and messaging across all touchpoints.
Set a performance marketing strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and values and supports the preparation, launch, and ongoing support of the OPC.
Partner with the VP of Communications and PR consultants on crisis communications and message management.
Develop and oversee a 360-degree marketing strategy, including marketing plan development, media planning, and omni-channel activations.
Drive audience engagement through CRM strategy, consumer journey design, and 1st-party data optimization.
Develop promotional strategies, including corporate partnerships and revenue-driving campaigns.
Develop promotional strategies for Programs across Obama Foundation and OPC.
Design and help implement cross-functional operations for strategy development and execution of OPC marketing, collaborating with internal partners such as the Design Director and OPC team.
Serve as a thought leader on audience engagement trends, digital innovation, and brand storytelling.
Support organizational change readiness, ensuring the marketing strategy aligns with and drives new audience adoption and engagement during the OPC launch.
Collaborate closely with executive leadership, Development, and OPC teams to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with organizational priorities and revenue goals.
Scale and develop a high-performing marketing team, aligning structure and skills with evolving OPC priorities and audience demands.
Partner with internal teams to ensure brand consistency and campaign alignment across initiatives.
Lead the effort to identify and understand our target audience.
Establish quarterly KPIs and metrics to evaluate the success of OPC marketing efforts in partnership with OPC and Development teams (ie. experiential KPIs, guest growth/acquisition, guest engagement, revenue growth through expanding range of products and customer experiences).
Leverage insights to refine strategies and optimize marketing spend for maximum impact.
Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and consultants to support marketing efforts.
Oversee and optimize the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Clearly articulated strategy that is aligned with organizational strategic goals, and is executable by a high-functioning marketing team.
Revenue targets that are regularly met or exceeded alongside other relevant KPIs set by the Sr Director and other established KPIs (i.e. ticket sales, attendance).
An operating culture that is effective, highly collaborative and inclusive, and fosters innovative approaches to audience engagement.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years including experience serving in a marketing leadership position for a cultural institution nonprofit, or similarly mission-driven organization with complex, public-facing campaigns. Preferred qualification of experience and/or knowledge of the non-profit and cultural sector. Corporate marketing experience is welcome. Proven experience developing and implementing revenue-generating marketing strategies, including ticket sales, audience growth, and product expansion.
Expertise: Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, multi-channel marketing campaigns. Knowledge of audience engagement, data analytics, and digital marketing trends.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, fostering an inclusive and innovative work environment.
Strategic Vision: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to align marketing goals with organizational objectives.

Purpose of Role
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Development, the Senior Director of Development Operations will be part of a core group of senior leaders across the Obama Foundation’s 50-person Development department. This is an ideal opportunity for a proven, creative, and values-driven non-profit leader with management experience who’s highly motivated to drive towards ambitious goals in collaboration with a dynamic and values-driven team. The Senior Director will play a critical role in helping to reach the Foundation’s ambitious $180M year-over-year fundraising goals, closing out its active $1.6B campaign, and achieving long-term sustainability for the organization.
The Senior Director will help shape the department’s strategic vision by leveraging data to inform decision-making and drive impactful philanthropic initiatives. As a key member of the Development Leadership team, the Senior Director of Development Operations oversees departmental strategic planning while ensuring alignment with institutional strategic planning. This position will oversee six (6) full-time employees that constitute the department’s Database Management, Gift Acceptance, and Prospect Research subteams.
The Senior Director will play a key role in structuring, measuring, and analyzing donor and income trends to inform fundraising strategy and decision-making and will work closely with our Finance and Legal departments. This individual will be comfortable managing complex vendor relationships, possess significant database, systems, strategy, and analysis experience, and strongly desire to maximize results while managing resources, expectations, and organizational needs.
Drive strategic, data-led fundraising efforts by providing vision and direction to Development Operations subteams.
Serve as the departmental representative in organization-wide strategic planning efforts.
Identify key metrics to fundraising success and evaluative measures. Provide transparent progress reporting to all departmental staff.
Review and update current standard operating procedures to optimize the Development Operations function, creating new procedures where necessary.
Oversee development budgets, track all invoices and expenses, and provide regular written reports with commentary to management.
Act as the primary point of contact with vendors, managing several critical vendor relationships to achieve ambitious growth goals.
Identify, develop, and implement strategies to maintain accurate and timely entry of donor and gift data in Salesforce, utilizing automated systems whenever possible, and design and enforce accountability protocols.
Create and implement strategies to grow funding sources, including using internal data and innovative technologies to identify and cultivate new potential donors.
Provide strategic oversight of the prospect management function, ensuring strategies are developed to expand the prospect pipeline and that all portfolios successfully move donors through the qualification process.
Offer strategic recommendations to the Database Management subteam in order to ensure data cleanliness, accuracy, completeness, and regular updates within Salesforce (e.g., demographic data), using automated systems as much as possible.
Manage and coach the members of the Prospect Research, Gift Acceptance, and Database Management subteams, and oversee relevant vendors and part-time staff.
Serve as department liaison with the Legal and Finance departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Clear development operations strategy for the Development Operations vertical, ensuring that systems and processes support all areas of fundraising.
Strong documented processes and controls are in place to ensure that all data is accurately maintained and updated regularly.
Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to enable informed decisions within Development.
All donations are accurately recorded in Salesforce within 24 hours of receipt.
Significant experience leading a development operation for a large, diversified fundraising program, including a large number of complex donations across many different types and levels of giving.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage high-performing, collaborative teams.
Hands-on experience driving successful campaigns, growing revenue, building endowments, conducting prospect research, cultivating donor relationships, utilizing CRM systems, and optimizing philanthropic operations.
Strong interest in exploring and adopting new technologies to enhance existing systems and processes.
The salary range for this role is between $166,820 and $208,573.
Location: Chicago-preferred or remote with occasional travel to Chicago.
