POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst- Capital Markets Operations assists in the implementation, maintenance, and updating of systems, programs and data files used by Capital Markets Operations to perform its various functions in support of other departments. Provides support in updating and maintaining existing departmental processes.

Open to all US locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Create accurate business requirements for project implementations and applications as required including working with department personnel to identify, analyze, and implement technology solutions.
  • Provide support and help educate users about departmental software applications.
  • Collaborate with other departments to help coordinate and document user testing for future software applications.
  • Enhance automation and reporting where possible and as changes occur. Assist in the implementation of interfaces that are used to identify activity between departments.
  • Provide back up to Business Analyst in supporting users on all aspects of trading system of record; reporting, general system knowledge and providing technical expertise to resolve issues.
  • Help to manage the department's digital document repository, by organizing, managing, and uploading daily digital packets.
  • SME for both Trading system of record and OnBase applications


QUALIFICATIONS :

Required:
  • Bachelor Degree
  • 1+ year of experience with data analytics, business analysis, derivatives, and/or technical system implementation


Preferred:
  • Bachelors in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems or Information Technology
  • 1+ year of experience creating access databases or other databases, queries, tables and macros
  • Prior experience in banking or financial industry
  • Ability to advance multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Knowledge of banking, trading and mortgages
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Visio, Visual Basic.
  • Strong written and analytical skills in order to break down and clearly document procedures/workflows.
  • The ability to review a process flow and assist in the identification and the implementation of controls to effectively manage risk
  • Communicate effectively and work well with people at all levels within and outside of the Bank.
  • Flexibility to multitask and handle multiple requests with varying degrees of priority.
  • Excellent organization, time management and work ethic.
  • Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues.
  • Able to quickly learn new technologies and interact effectively with all levels of management with tact and professionalism.
  • Strong ability to break down processes and determine root causes and implement sound based solutions.
  • Ability to understand user's needs in order to identify where process improvements can be implemented.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely, deliver a message to all levels of management, with the ability to take direction when given to complete the task at hand.
