Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager - Delray Beach

Local consumer goods manufacturer is searching for an Accounts Payable Manager/Supervisor for an immediately needed direct hire opportunity. Accounts Payable Manager/Supervisor will be reporting to the Controller/Assistant Controller for daily direction and future goals/initiatives.

Accounts Payable Manager/Supervisor will have one direct report to within Payables and will need to provide a hands on approach with managing, training and development. This role is a great opportunity for the Accounts Payable Manager/Supervisor to be a part of process improvement, procedure review and have high visibility with C-Suite Executives.

Daily functions include:
Overseeing routine department activities, such as disbursing checks and processing payroll, to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
Maintaining accurate and complete financial, employee, and client records.
Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information to management and government agencies.
Setting and facilitating the achievement of department objectives.
Developing, implementing, improving, and enforcing budgets, policies, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.
•Identify and establish key accounts payable metrics and targets (daily, weekly, monthly, and annually)
•Assist accounting team with month-end closure processes, including A/P accruals and related account reconciliations
•Reconcile monthly Concur corporate credit card activity
•Serve as liaison for the AP department in providing resolution to invoice disputes and inquiries, both from external (vendors/auditors, etc.) parties and internal departments
•Responsible for monthly AP aging reporting and analysis on open payables balances
•Supervise reconciliation of key vendor accounts and their balances
•Help with special projects and ad hoc requests such as providing supporting documents to external auditors and management team
•Manage the accounts payable staff to include hiring, training, developing, and evaluating
Building and maintaining relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders.
