Hotel con Corazón is a social enterprise with a mission: we run hotels that create unforgettable experiences for our guests while investing more than 50% of our profits in local education projects for children, teenagers and adolescents in disadvantageous circumstances. By staying with us, travelers contribute directly to brighter futures for children and young people in the region. With successful ventures in Nicaragua, Mexico and Costa Rica, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Hotel Manager to lead our team in Granada, Nicaragua.

As our Hotel Manager, you don’t just run a hotel—you help strengthen communities by supporting education for the next generation.

 

Your Role

As Hotel Manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the hotel and the well-being of both guests and staff. You will be the face of the hotel and play a key role in ensuring an unforgettable guest experience, while helping us fulfill our mission by running the business in a professional, profitable, and sustainable way. At the same time, you will be the liaison between the hotel and the education projects, ensuring hotel staff and guests alike, will feel proud of playing a role in our mission.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage day-to-day hotel operations (front office, housekeeping, F&B, purchases and payments).
  • Lead, coach, organize and motivate the hotel team.
  • Monitor and optimize occupancy, revenue, and costs.
  • Nurture the relations with DMCs/Tour operators.
  • Safeguard excellent guest satisfaction and handle feedback.
  • Maintenance of, and investments in the hotel building and installations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal standards.
  • Report to and collaborate with the Hotel con Corazón Headquarters.
  • Represent and promote the hotel in the local authorities
  • ⁠Constantly improve the guest experience and innovate operations to make it more efficient and guest-centered

 

Your Profile

 

  • Degree in hospitality, business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven work experience in Nicaragua or Latin-American, (additional experience abroad is a plus)
  • Motivated by social impact and aligned with our mission.
  • Minimum 5 year’s work experience of which 2 years at managerial level.
  • Experience in the hotel or tourism industry
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Well-developed cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to engage with people from all educational backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented, and able to work independently.
