Project Controller is responsible for the following duties from an operational execution point of view:
POSITION STATEMENT
Project Controller main responsibilities are to assure the proper recording, reporting, and analysis of all financial results of projects in accordance with company financial policies and reporting procedures along with generally accepted accounting procedures, IFRS requirements, and tax laws.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis and input monthly results and estimates related to net sales, cost, and margin. Coordinate, prepare, and submit accurate internal and external financial project reports, (monthly, quarterly, and annually). Active participation in PEM meetings and monthly project management reviews. Educate and train project management team on financial procedure related to project via presentations both group and individually. Calculate monthly POC PO percentage & PO advance accrual with documents provided on purchase orders and percentage completion. Review and provide financial assistance and guidance on new and active projects related to equipment, LDs, warranty, hedging, bank instruments, SAP input and IFRS15 per Metso Outotec policy. Provide month-end assist to operational finance group resolving timely solutions on settlement errors related to PS/SO settlement. Coordinate activities related to resolution on cost with local and MBS teams Requirements and Experience
Ability to act as a finance lead in multi-location projects •Ability to challenge other stakeholders Understanding of the key financial business performance metrics (Cash flow, Income Statement, Balance Sheet). Understanding of project accounting Strategic and analytical thinking Ability to influence and lead change Understanding of compliance issues and policies Understanding of financial and management reporting requirements and tools (BO,BW,BPC) Prior experience in a controller role is an advantage Prior working experience with SAP ERP is an advantage Good command of Excel Ability to work across multiple disciplines and departments Superior Spanish and English language skills – ability to write technical descriptions We Offer
