Software Engineer II - Fullstack - Remoto

This position is full-time and location-based in Costa Rica; because of the Pandemic, our employees in Costa Rica are all working from home WFH.  Return to office in a hybrid model will be required in the future.

Team:  Neustar Localeze Engineering, you will work on a team to design and implement Web applications and APIs to facilitate a better local search experience.  You will empower search engines to leverage our real-time intelligence and data assets to generate more relevant search results, and you will provide a platform for local businesses to promote, protect and manage their online profiles.

Responsibilities include:

• Work across functional boundaries to design and implement fault-tolerant, high-performance, scale-able, next-generation software for local search
• Participate in iterative design, implementation, and testing
• Maintain coding and documentation standards, support bug fixes and QA activities

Qualifications/Education

• BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Strong data analytic skills with 4 to 7 years in development skills
• Experience programming in multiple languages, including at least one object-oriented language
• Ability to decompose complicated problems into smaller units of deliverable functionality
• Experience with software development life cycle and best practices: design, testing, source control, continuous integration, automation
• Solid understanding of software design principles, e.g. object orientation, design patterns, dependency inversion, etc.
• Ability to read and review code to provide meaningful feedback and/or guidance
• Passion for writing good software

Additional Information:

• Experience programming in C#/.NET
• Experience with MySQL or other relational database management system
• Experience with performant high-volume storage
• Experience developing modern front-ends (HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Experience with an MVC framework, e.g. Angular, React, Vue
• Knowledge of HTTP and REST
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
