Logistics Officer (Supply Chain) for Latin America and the Caribbean

To contribute to daily planning and coordination of WFP logistics operations, including monitoring of services provided by contracted external organizations, to ensure cost-effective operations and that set objectives are achieved in full.

Depending on your experience level and expertise areas, you will be involved to a greater or lesser degree in work related, but not limited, to the following:

1. Management of service providers / vendors, port, fleet, and warehouse operations to promote safe, efficient planning and execution of WFP operations.
2. Management of supply chain operations, in compliance with the established supply chain strategies, policies, procedures and controls, and following corporate standards, with emphasis on quality control, loss prevention, risk mitigation, and cost-effectiveness.
3. Building and maintenance of positive relationships mostly at the operational level and collaboration with counterparts in the key supply chain functions, contributing to an integrated supply chain approach to food assistance and cross-functional operational alignment.
4. Application of appropriate processes, procedures, and policies that support the efficient and effective procurement services.
5. Analyses including financial, reports, and budget reviews in support of decision-making on supply chain activities.
