The Opportunity

This position is based in Guatemala City, Guatemala for our Nutrition Division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Millions of people around the world count on our leading brands – including Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, Glucerna® – to help get the nutrients they need to live their healthiest life.

As the Brand Manager, Similac Specialized you will design, execution and control of the marketing and commercialization strategies for the brand in CADR region. The purpose is to launch and generate a continuous growth of a new brand in the category, by driving a competitive position through the maximization of market opportunities in the nutritional market.

Guarantee the design and development of the marketing strategies for the Brand. Make sure they are aligned with Abbott strategy and track implementation to achieve the margin, sales and market share targets. Maximize market growth opportunities jointly with the multifunctional teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Translate the general Corporate and regional strategies of the Company to specific marketing strategies that cover the local business needs. Review, comment and approve the marketing strategies that the assistant product manager under this role responsibility generates.
  • Use as criteria for evaluation the corporate policies, economic feasibility, impact in the business and other key business factors. Follow up and tracking of the execution and implementation of the strategies to ensure the objectives are reached. Recommend any needed adjustments to achieve targets.
  • Continuous review and update of Long-Range plan of brands under the scope. Keep the control and close follow up of expenses vs. approved Budget. Participate in the team of continuous improvement to search optimization of the Company processes Keep a constant interaction with regional and global management of the general aspects of the business in charge.
  • Develop, sustain and support direct the marketing team that supports the Brand with a clear strategic thinking and high standards of execution. Follow up and analysis of the business development to ensure we meet the financial and strategic targets established by management.
  • Conduct the analysis and strategic planning in the pre-demand process and demand to guarantee the right supply of the products. Develop the knowledge and competencies of the multifunctional team and the direct reports to understand properly the brand.

Required Qualifications

  • University Degree in Nutrition, Industrial Engineer, Business Administration, Economy, Marketing, or similar degree. (Graduated).
  • 2-3 as Marketing Coordinator, or Junior Brand Manager, or similar role.
  • Advanced English Skills.
  • Digital skills: Microsoft Office

  • Similar brands management.
  • Knowledge of Central American markets.
  • Commercial experience

Travel: 40%

Fieldwork: 60%
