Vice President of Talent Acquisition

The Vice President of Talent Aquisition (internally titled, Vice President of People Attraction and People Operations) is responsible for delivering all facets of the recruitment and staffing process throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional as well as innovative sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Vice President of People Attraction and People Operations will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.

The position requires heavy recruiting leadership experience to support field management with sourcing and recruiting for sales positions in a retail/wireless environment. 

The Vice President of People Attraction and People Operations must be experienced in leading large teams, leading Director & Sr. Director level reports, and a broadly, geographically dispersed 50-75+ person recruiting operation. The successful candidate will have managed teams in a high volume recruiting environment, and will need to have experience in an agile environment.

The Vice President of People Attraction and People Operations will be responsible for all recruiting initiatives for hiring 10,000-20,000 employees per year, reducing turnover by recruiting qualified candidates, posting positions on job boards and searching for qualified candidates through networking, cold recruiting, on-line job boards, and any other resources available while being mindful of cost and driving cost saving initiatives. This person will be an integral part of our leadership team and will interface daily with Field and Corporate management.

The Vice President of People Attraction and People Operations:

  • Partners with business leaders to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of the departments and to deliver the best talent to the organization
  • Develops and implements strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent in a multi-site organization across all of T-ROC's businesses, with heavy focus on the 1000+ high volume type hires needed each month
  • Creates, impliments and drives the strategic initiatives forward at all times
  • Works with the business to create the optimal organziation capable of short turn arounds, explosive growth based hiring, and niche market success
  • Develops internal talent capabilities throughout the recruiting, sourcing, and onboarding teams, both developing internal and cross departmental talent to build a pipeline for a plethora of future T-ROC jobs, both in and out of People Attraction.
  • Works with hiring managers and interview teams to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria including skills assessments, behavioral assessments or other sources of identifying “right job, right fit” strategies.
  • Tracks and reports key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity
  • Regular follow up with the respective hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of recruitment process. Assess/Audit the work of their reporting teams (managers, team leads, and recruiters)
  • Partners closely with business leaders to understand their business strategy and talent needs
  • Leverages deep recruiting knowledge to develop plans to attract top talent with required skillsets to support T-ROC's growth and initiatives.
  • Partners with senior leaders for full-cycle recruiting efforts for critical senior roles as needed, including identifying capability and knowledge requirements, sourcing a diverse slate of candidates, executing the candidate assessment processes and facilitating the offer process
  • Achieves exceptional levels of client and partner satisfaction
  • Manages/builds/develops a team of high performing recruiters
  • Participates in related programs and process improvement projects as a talent consultant to build and deliver best-in-class Talent Acquisition services
  • Builds high trust relationships with internal and external clients and partners
  • Provides direction and consultation to the T-ROC management team on strategic and emerging staffing trends
  • Maintains integrity and upkeep of functional recruiting systems and processes while supporting new tools and efficiency opportunities
  • Develops and implements strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent in a multi-site organization
  • Aids marketing team in establishing a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for the company, both internally and externally
  • Provides reports to senior management team as requested.
  • Owns the outcomes of all recruiting initiatives
  • Tracks and analyzes talent acquisition metrics to monitor and improve performance
  • Ensures compliance with audit, regulatory and legal requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of experience recruiting/staffing in a fast-paced environment, strong understanding and ability to recruit in all levels of the organization from entry level to Corporate staff
  • Clear understanding of the end to end recruitment lifecycle processes
  • Knowledge of employment laws in the U.S. and Puerto Rico
  • Must have experience on mapping and sourcing resumes from all sources
  • Experience maintaining files, processing paperwork, data entry and related recruitment administrative process
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as, exceptional listening skills
  • Must excel in customer service delivery
  • Must have strong work ethics and exhibit professional behaviors
  • Must have strong vendor management skills
  • Must have exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Must have strong attention to details.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and effectively
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and extreme confidentiality
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of responsibilities and follow through with tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to conduct presentations with senior management teams.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be reliable, dependable and team oriented
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • HR Certification preferred but not required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required
