Underwriter - Jupiter

Underwriter
We are seeking an Underwriter in Jupiter, FL for a leading HR services company. The Underwriter will prepare applications for underwriting review and enroll/process renewals and other support duties as authorized by the designated PEO underwriter or manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Underwriter

• Reply to customer and underwriter inquiries and offer status updates.
• Lead, determine and resolve problems by referring to policies, procedures and standards.
• Communicate with customers to get information to complete screening and transactions.
• Compile data and conduct routine tasks to support Underwriters.
• Assess mail, correspondence, records and reports to choose processing matters.
• Direct risky issues outside designated authority level to Underwriter for approval.
• Create requisitions for credit and Safety and Health reports.
• Screen renewals and refer problem accounts to Underwriters.
• Screen incoming telephone calls and reply to enquiries within pre-determined scope.
• Compile reports and maintain files and logs.
• Ensure assigned workload within quality and productivity.
• Offer a high level of customer service while interacting with clients.

REQUIRED SKILLS FOR THE UNDERWRITER

• Candidates with at least 2+ years underwriting experience preferred
• Experience underwriting for a PEO/Staffing company.
• Must be client focused with good verbal and written communication skills
• Possess above average knowledge and efficiency with Microsoft Office.
