Job Description: Senior Sourcing Associate-Procurement
  • Leads negotiations for contractual and commercial terms for complex Agreements including Master Services Agreements, Software as a Service Agreements and Software Licensing Agreements
  • In conjunction with IT Category Managers and Internal Stakeholders, fully understands business objectives and translates them into sourcing strategies to support those objectives
  • Leads moderate to highly-complex competitive sourcing events and supplier negotiations; determine appropriate methods of procurement; solicit bids, quotations and proposals; evaluates competitive offerings and recommend overall best offer for a product or service.
  • Reviews and critically assesses business specifications and statements of work;
  • Delivers sourcing projects from commencement through to contract execution
  • Relationships
  • Supports IT Category Managers in delivery of Category Plan strategies, sourcing and productivity opportunities
  • Works with Legal Resources to articulate specific contractual areas of concern; assesses and understands which contract terms are Legal Issues vs Business Issues
  • Strategically negotiates Business and enterprise-level Legal Terms and Conditions with Suppliers and Service Providers
  • Applies analytics to ensure compliance by preferred suppliers and with contract terms; provides analytical tools to support management of preferred suppliers.
  • Supports Business Partnering & Strategy in communicating purchasing policies and procedures to users when needed.
  • Maintains effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, helps resolve escalated quality problems; helps identify measurements for improvement and target-setting
  • Coordinates, reviews and responds to supplier inquiries.
  • Supplier Management
  • Supports Business Partnering & Strategy in managing preferred suppliers using the *** Supplier Management methodology and compliance requirements.
  • Manages selected internal and external relationships with suppliers, cross-functional and/or multi-functional teams.
  • Required:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 6 years relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency in procurement, contract negitiations, managing contract development and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and manage internal stakeholders at all levels within a highly matrixed organization, working across cross-functional, cross-organizational teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:
  • Masters Degree in related field
  • Knowledge of and proficiency with Ariba Sourcing Application
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Profesisonal in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • US military experience will be considered towards industry and professional experience requirements
