November First is looking for a software engineer in test automation to improve the quality of its software product. We are looking for a new colleague that will help us automate the many test cases that need to be run before each deployment, find tools and technologies that will help develop test automation and build dedicated test environments. You will work with a development team based in Setúbal. The company HQ is in Copenhagen, Denmark, although you will mainly work remotely .
What We Do
November First is a Denmark based FinTech start-up, that focuses on international payments and transactions. We provide B2B international payment services that help our customers save significant foreign exchange fees, administration time, and integrate the payment experience with the customer's accounting or ERP software of choice. We are currently moving to the Azure cloud and expect to increase the scalability of the product in the near future.
Since we are based in Denmark, we have a Scandinavian leadership style, with flat structures and always open to hear different opinions and preserve a friendly and engaging work culture.
Who we're looking for
November First is looking for an experienced software test automation engineer to work on our web application and future mobile app. You will work closely together with our dedicated QA engineer and the different developers. Your main responsibility will be related to expanding the test automation of the whole product. Your tasks include: creating new e2e tests, find new tools that can help on ensuring the quality in our CI/CD pipeline, ensure the robustness of a production release and influence the development of a new feature with a testability point of view, by also being involved from the beginning of its planning.
This position is ideal for someone who prefers small organizations to large ones, multi- tasking to single-project assignments, and a highly flexible work environment. Our developers share a passion for rapid prototyping, making things work in challenging environments, and seeing the impact of our work first-hand. We work agile in a highly regulated industry. Some travel can be expected, mainly to the main office to work with the rest of the team.
Responsibilities of this role include:
Test new features using modern best-practices such as version control, continuous integration, automated tests, and daily deployments.
Establish metrics and baselines to secure risk-free deployments.
Proactively find solutions and technologies that can benefit the progress and speed of testing the product.
Have an open-minded approach to challenges and be a team player.
Having serious fun while working with a high emphasis on quality in order to allow our customers to run their business smarter and better.
Skills and requirements:
5+ years of software quality assurance experience as a test engineerr of enterprise quality web applications.
3+ years of software development experience.
Experience with Web Testing frameworks, preferably TestCafe.
Experience with different testing tools e.g email mock testing, mobile phone testing, etc.
Cloud experience e.g Azure or AWS will be an advantage.
Knowledge of C#, Java, ASP.Net, ASP.Net MVC, SQL Server, jQuery, HTML, CSS its an advantage.
Previous experience of working with FinTech or Forex system will be an added advantage.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
