Job Description

Private equity firm, based in Miami, FL, is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to work part-time (15 - 20 hours a week) on a permanent basis. This position will have the flexibility to work remotely from your home and come to the office when needed.

Responsibilities:

Assist with financial statement preparation for multiple entities on a quarterly basis

Participate in the month, quarter and year-end close activities including general ledger analysis and reconciliations

Record all bank transactions and activities for the various entities

Reconcile multiple bank accounts for several entities

Enter all AP invoices and prepare weekly cash disbursements for review and approval

Assist the accounting team in the budgeting, forecasting and annual planning process

Assist with special projects as assigned by upper management

Record operating and investment transactions

Ensure all investments are recorded correctly as per underlying documentation

Reconcile activity and balances to 3rd party information

Provide assistance to outside tax preparer

Assist with HR/Payroll related tasks including updating of personnel files, review of timesheets, and bi-weekly payroll submission

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

4-6 years of corporate accounting experience

QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills

Private equity, wealth management and/or financial services industry experience is preferred
