Job Summary:

Performs ER audits toverify the accuracy of ER levels assigned by the ER nursing personnel for allMedicare accounts. Applies HCA ER level standard while performing ER audits.Performs other audits as requested by supervisor. Performs audits of patient’srecords as needed for the purpose of settling catastrophic claims with ManagedCare Companies. Responsible for reviewing all observation patients. Verifiesthat observation hours are properly charged. Documents all findings. Writes Llines and P lines as needed to correct patient accounts.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s DegreeRequired
  • Computer knowledge:Meditech, PA, Lotus, Excel
  • Hospital billingexperience preferred
  • Chart auditor billingexperience 1-2 years preferred
