How can you make a difference?

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Prepare situation reports of UNICEF activities/results in the emergency response, based on Country Offices (CO) monitoring, and combined with inputs from COs/teams, sections and external partners, ensuring adherence to the UNICEF reporting requirements.
  • Prepare/update and edit the following emergency-related and ad-hoc products: HACs, infographics, presentations, briefing notes, and other documents related to the current HACs.
  • In close coordination with Programme and Planning sections, ensure that results-based information from HPM and other monitoring systems is reflected and used in emergency reports.
  • In close coordination with Programme and Finance colleagues, maintain an up to date emergency funds tracking tool.
  • Undertake research and prepare background materials for use in meetings, discussions and briefing sessions, communications products as and when required.
  • Engage with HQ focal points to identify priorities, good practices and guidelines to ensure quality of products.
  • Liaise with the Regional Platform for the Venezuela Migration Crisis, OCHA, cluster leaders and other partners producing relevant information, to ensure that figures and context developments regarding the situation of children are accurate, up to date and reported correctly.
  • In close coordination with COs, Programme, Comms and Resource mobilisation teams, support donor reporting tasks, including the development of fundraising proposals and donor reports.
  • Any other related tasks as required.
  • To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have?

  • A first University Degree in a related field such as sociology, monitoring and evaluation, international relations.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in Emergency settings and/or Early recovery settings working for a UN Agency and/or an INGO.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) and knowledge of another UN language an asset.
  • Knowledge of the humanitarian operations and of the region would be a strong asset.
  • Similar experience in reporting and monitoring.
