SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

NOTE: Position will not start working until January.  Pleaseapply if you are interested in positions at UCF Lake Nona MedicalCenter slated to open in early 2021.

 

UCF Lake Nona MedicalCenter (UCFLNMC) islocated in the southern Orlando suburb of Lake Nona, which is known as MedicalCity. UCFLNMC is a partnership facility owned by HCA Healthcare and theUniversity of Central Florida College of Medicine.  It will be the firstteaching hospital in Central Florida.  Construction began in October 2018.Slated to open in early 2021, the 204,079-square-foot, 64-bed facility isexpected to create more than 300 jobs when it opens early next year. 

 

UCFLNMC will be locatedimmediately adjacent to the UCF College of Medicine. It will be just minutesfrom the Orlando International Airport and will be easily accessible from majorroads including Florida’s Turnpike, State Road 417 and the East-WestExpressway.

Planned Core Services: General Surgery, Internal Medicine,OB/GYN, Emergency Services, Pathology, Radiology and Anesthesia

Planned SpecialtyServices: Cardiology,Oncology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Critical Care/Pulmonary,Infectious Disease, Rheumatology, Orthopedic Surgery and Urology

 
Position Summary:
 

Under generalsupervision, the RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) will perform allrespiratory care related duties.

Set up and administerall routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages.

Responsible for theapplication and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous shortand long-term mechanical ventilation.

Respiratory Therapistsare expected to be self-directed in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.Maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate informationinto the hospital computer for the therapy as given.

Qualifications

Requirements:
 

A Degree in RespiratoryTherapy from an accredited program.
