We are looking for adedicated and passionate RN for our Operating Room. The person in thisposition will be an experienced licensed Registered Nurse, who provides patientcare as part of a multi-disciplinary team based on national standards andutilizing the nursing process. The Registered Nurse also is responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering said patient care. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR), some of your task and responsibilities will be to:

• Demonstrate knowledge of specific disease process, treatments, interventions and responsebased on age specificity.

• Confirm identity of patient. 

• Verify operative procedure and site.

• Assure documentation of vital signs.

• Verify allergies. 

• Note condition of skin. 

• Report deviation of diagnostic studies. 

• Determine mobility of body parts.

• Note abnormalities, injuries and previous surgeries.

• Identify presence of external and internal prosthesis/implants.

• Note sensory impairment.

• Complete assessment of cardiovascular, respiratory and renal status.

• Note nutritional status.

• Screen for substance abuse.

• Communicate physiological data relevant to planning patient's discharge.

• Continuouslyreassess and document all components of patient care based on relevant data.

• Communicate/document physical health status.

Qualifications

• Current RN License in the State of Florida
• RecognizedCompact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements,including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• CNOR preferred
• Graduate from a school of nursing (ASN) required. BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience required 
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.  
• Current (ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
