Job Description:

The RN Manager helps tocreate a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-basedpractices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.  Ensuresadherence to standards of care.  Supports efforts to reduce variation inclinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness and cost.  Ensuresa culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care. Supportsthe achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations anddesignations. Ensures compliance with all policies procedures and regulatorystandards.  Manages admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficientthroughput and high quality, patient-centered care.  Facilitates effectiveinterdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments. Ensuresstaff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient careneeds.  Manages nursing practice and unit operations.  Monitors andevaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policiesand procedures to ensure patient and family needs are assessed and met. Ensures equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according toregulatory and/or accreditation standards.



Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nursing – Required
  • Associate degree in Nursing – Preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare - Required
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role - Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida
    • or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required
