JobDescription:
Reporting the Directorthe Women Services, you will be facilitating exceptional care for the patientswe serve in our 7-Bed Labor room, 6-Bed Antepartum room, and 4-Bed triage unit.Some notable information about the unit:
- Skill mix: RegisteredNurse, Patient Care tech, Unit Secretary
- Labor and Delivery hosts a variety of patient acuities/diagnosisincluding: Labor/Preclampsia, preterm labor
- Schedules: 12-hourshifts (0700-1930, 1900-0730) ; Full time is considered 36 hours per week,including every other weekend. Self-scheduling is available.
- Dress code: ProfessionalScrubs (individual provides their own). Pewter with baby steps logo
- Lifting equipment: 2-slider
- Major equipment used: FetalMonitor, Ultrasound machine, Cardiac Monitors, Infant warmer
- New equipment: Pandas,Perigen
Qualifications
- Associates in Science inNursing, Bachelors preferred
- CurrentFlorida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject toFlorida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoingeligibility and duration provisions).
- Current certification as a BLS/CPR provider through the American Heart Association required
- Completion of NRP
- Completion of ACLS
- Completion of STABLE
- Completion of Fetal Monitoring
- Current experience in Labor and Delivery in acute hospital setting
- Registered Charge Nurse experienced in L&D required
