The Product Manager is an innovative, data-driven, and organized individual who will own a set of data products and lead project execution aimed at product improvement, enhancement, and creation. They will own the development plan, represent their products within the product management team, as well as with internal stakeholders across the Business Services organization. They will have a solid understanding of the customer and target market. They will represent the needs of the customer to data engineering teams and will support and participate in demonstrations to key stakeholders at program milestones as part of Agile methodology.

The Product Manager will collaborate with other members of the team to create value and release products that support various market segments, with online, xml and/or batch delivery. This individual has a passion for developing new ideas, gathering, evaluating, and understanding customer use-cases through close and appropriately conducted contact with customers, as well as an analytical mindset required to track, measure, and produce lift in the product set they own.

A top candidate will demonstrate not only idea-driven thinking, but the ability to execute that product vision and roadmap plan through the entire product lifecycle- from the discovery phase, requirement/story writing, refinement, go-to-market launch plans, release, and finally retrospective analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with customers to represent requirements, understand their workflows, and create value through product enhancements and exceptional customer experience.
  • Leverages metrics to track progress on customer needs and ensures that product efforts move those metrics and improve customer experience.
  • Drives the execution of a product roadmap for a product/feature area and executes on go to market release plans.
  • Collaborates with internal business partners to gather and assess product needs in the marketplace.
  • Has a thorough understanding of the broader product experience and uses this knowledge to develop comprehensive prototypes.

Required Experience:

  • 2-4 years of Product Management experience or in a related field whereas data products are developed/improved in a systematic manner.
  • Bachelors degree. Masters degree is preferred, but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities in a medium sized or above corporate environment where many diverse departments exist.
