Job Description:
Purpose: To honor God by: Developing and overseeing outreach initiatives with the goal being to bring people into the church and insuring that the experience of every guest to the FBC campus is a great one, and connecting each guest into relationships and ministries within the church. The goal is that each guest will become a mature, well-assimilated, and productive member of the church and Kingdom
Qualifications/Abilities
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ, a vital growing relationship with Him, and a teachable spirit. A commitment to moral purity and a healthy family life. A commitment to the mission, vision, doctrine, values, and philosophy of FBC. A passion to develop and effectively lead volunteers that will make each guest experience a great experience. This would include: vision casting, modeling, recruiting, training, mobilizing, and managing a team of volunteers. Understands effective hospitality and demonstrates it personally. The ability to think strategically and anticipate/solve problems. At least 1 to 3 years’ experience leading volunteer teams. Is both social media and technically savvy. A team player and a self-starter with a positive attitude. A highly relational, warm people person. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and lead four major outreach events per year with smaller opportunities mixed in. Will cultivate an atmosphere throughout the church where every guest has a great first-time experience, and every experience thereafter is equally as good. Works to continually develop, care for, and manage the First Impressions Team (which includes Greeters, Ushers, Guest Services, and Parking volunteers), the Pastor’s Breakfast Team, and Medical Teams. Will follow-up on all guests until they are assimilated in a Connection/Life Group and a meaningful ministry. Ensures that all communication materials are of high quality, updated and available for all weekend services. Ensures that all facilities are ready to receive guests. Actively participates in all worship services and staff meetings. Accountable to the Senior Pastor. This information is meant as an overview as the actual job description is under development.
