Position Responsibilities:

Develop strategy for each individual municipality
Research through local resources what townhalls or city council meetings are worth FTR attending
Identify key inspectors and who is approving permits in the municipality
Identify FTR resources best suited to attend meetings
Smaller cities – Local Manager, Local Engineer (ISP or OSP), or Regulatory representative
Bigger cities – Director of Ops and Regulatory VP (Carl Erhart as example)
Broker deals as needed to resolve issues and gain approvals
Establish governance process that positions us well to complete our builds in each municipality
Host weekly calls with key FTR players tracking our progress
Capture the process for obtaining approvals in each municipality and track each step through to completion
Establish muni meeting timelines and coordinate who will attend (also track attendance)
Log outcome of each muni meeting and capture key take aways for FTR (track action items through to completion)
Track damages occurring during build and issue resolution
Liaison between Local Field Ops/CXM, Engineering, and Regulatory
Travel required but role will be more focused on coordination

Candidate Background:

Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills
The ability to multi-task and have solid follow up system
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Experience driving team performance and holding them accountable to that performance
Must be able to assess risk and make decisions that can impact the business
Must be able to work as a liaison between internal and external business partners objectively
Must be able to effectively communicate with executive leadership on complex issues
Must be able to partner with leadership of multiple departments to drive objectives of the team
Excellent Project Management and Strong organizational skills
Must be able to partner with leadership of multiple departments to drive objectives of the team
Proficiency in using Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently with little or no guidance
Minimum of 5 years of OSP and/or Construction experience
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in telecommunications
