Daily Responsibilities of the Laboratory Manager – Blood Bank:

  • Manages the operations of assigned area ensuring efficiency of workflow and continuity of services
  • Provides technical assistance and supervision for the daily operation of the laboratory including testing and component modification
  • Ensures that standards for compliance, use of equipment, and quality control are met as required by organizational policies and all accrediting, state and/or federal agencies

    • Requirements for the Laboratory Manager – Blood Bank:

  • Bachelor's degree in a biological science or related scientific field from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and or experience.
  • Florida Clinical Lab Technologist license in Immunohematology or Blood Banking
  • 5+ year(s) of experience as a Medical Technologist in a blood bank
  • Recent leadership experience in a Blood Bank as a supervisor or manager

    •  Hours for the Laboratory Manager – Blood Bank:

  • Create own schedule - needs to be flexible and available 24/7
