Position Description: 

• Area of concentration is the HVAC trade. Operate, maintain, trouble-shoot and repair central chiller plant equipment, as well as peripheral air handling units, including electronic and electrical/pneumatic controls associated with computerized energy management system.

• Maintain and repair refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers/freezer, ice machines, refrigeration units, and all associated controls.

• Performs general maintenance and construction functions as directed by supervisor.

• Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment in accordance with operator's manual.

• Documents preventative maintenance performed on assigned equipment.

• Responsible for maintaining an inventory of parts that may be needed for repairs.

• Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of hospital electro-mechanical equipment and systems.

• Performs other related functions as assigned.
