Providence Staffing’s client is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team in Tampa, FL. The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial management and analysis of the Company’sbusiness operations. They assist with the development of strategies and plans for the organization’s long-term financial objectives, produce financial reports and assist with investment activities. This role requires the Analyst to streamline processes, forecast and explain key financial metrics, identify risks and opportunities, and ultimately help guide the business towards reaching its financial targets.
Job Description:
- Prepare executive package, business activity reports, and financial forecasts.
- Assist management with monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of the P&L, balance
sheet, cash flow, inventory, capital, and head count by comparing actual results to
forecasts and the annual budget.
- Works closely with and communicates clear, concise, and accurate assessment of
financial performance with all internal customers
- Coordinates development and maintenance of consistent reporting tools to build, monitor, report, and communicate operational and financial metrics across organization using
multiple systems and applications
Identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Assist management by driving improvement projects to improve working capital and
cash flow
- Analyze data and advise management on how to maximize profits.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for growth/expansion
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business
administration is required. MBA preferred
- Three or more years’ experience as a financial analyst demonstrating experience
delivering forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis/data interpretation is
required. Prior general ledger accounting experience also required.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people with and without
finance/accounting backgrounds are essential.
- Advanced database and excel knowledge/skills required
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, and able to work on time sensitive projects without daily
supervision
- Strong analytical, quantitative, financial modeling, process building, and project
management skills
- Preference will be given to candidates with Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
designation.
- Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and FRx or Management Reports advanced
experience is highly preferred. Prior general ledger accounting software experience is
essential.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or commonly used accounting system is required.
