UCF Lake Nona MedicalCenter (UCFLNMC) islocated in the southern Orlando suburb of Lake Nona, which is known as MedicalCity. UCFLNMC is a partnership facility owned by HCA Healthcare and theUniversity of Central Florida, College of Medicine.  It will be the firstteaching hospital in Central Florida. Construction began in October 2018.Slated to open in early 2021, the 204,079-square-foot, 64-bed facility isexpected to create more than 300 jobs when it opens early next year. 

UCFLNMC is located immediately adjacent to the UCFCollege of Medicine. It will be just minutes from the Orlando InternationalAirport and will be easily accessible from major roads including Florida’sTurnpike, State Road 417 and the East-West Expressway.

Essential Functions: The ER Tech will have a medium workload -exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs frequently and/orup to 10 lbs constantly.  Manages stress appropriately and can makedecisions under pressure and handle multiple priorities.  The minimumrequirements of this position require the individual to:  stand, sit,walk, perform repetitive tasks/motions, distinguish colors, hearalarms/telephones/normal speaking voice, have good manual dexterity, goodeye-hand-foot coordination, and clarity of vision. Climbing, bending, crouching,squatting, crawling, kneeling, balancing, pulling with force, reaching aboveown head, and reaching above shoulder are routine. 

• Technical or Associate’s EMT Degree/Certification required. 
• Active FL State EMT License required.
• Current BLS Certification is required.

• Six (6) months experience as an EMT or ER Tech is required.

• Organizational, critical thinking, multi-tasking, and communication skills in a detail-oriented, customer-focused organization are required. Basic computer skills are required.
