    WHO YOU ARE

    As a Data Specialist you will do the Ames set up of customer and supplier information to including pricing setup and maintenance. You will also be responsible for data lake maintenance including customer and supplier profile, pricing administration and item data management for customer sites.

    In our newly constructed state of the art facility in Lake Nona- Orlando- just a few miles from Orlando International Airport

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Data gathering of Ames product information on customer’s site such as IDM and Syndigo, complying to specific requirements on Marketing Attributes, UPC, GLN, GTIN and item dimensions
  • Responsible for accurate customer maintenance in Ames’s database for new and existing customers
  • Responsible for new account set up to work with Customer Service Team and Credit team
  • Item pricing administration including audit on pricing documents
  • Control and maintain pricing files for the products being sold, and provides price reports, information and solutions to pricing issues and problems that may arise.
  • Maintain and control pricing files, and help implement the price increases/promotions
  • Responsible for accurate supplier maintenance in Ames’s database for new and existing suppliers
  • Preparation of monthly, weekly and daily internal/external reports for area of responsibility as needed
  • Maintains competency level in terms of technical know-how and pass all functional certification assessments
  • Works with the team in managing day to day task and activities
  • Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Business, Marketing, or Data or equivalent work experience
  • 5+years’ experience customer interface
  • Consumer product experience
  • Strong PC skills including the Microsoft Office Suite; primarily Excel and Word. Must be an advanced user in Excel
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and/or retail processes
  • Ability to maintain a consistently high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze, develop, and propose strategies that will help the organization be more effective, competitive, or otherwise achieve its goals
