The Company: For over 60 years, our client has provided comprehensive behavioral health and family counseling services in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, and Washington counties in the Florida Panhandle. They offer objective, professional help with personal problems ranging from family life adjustment difficulties to stress reactions, substance abuse and mental illness.

The Position: Mental health counselors offer guidance to individuals, couples, families and groups who are dealing with issues that affect their mental health and well-being. Work with individuals, groups and communities to improve mental health. Encourage clients to discuss emotions and experiences. The Client is offering the following benefits and compensation:

• $40,000 base salary

Requirements:

• Degree from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling, psychology, social work, or human services related discipline (Master's level)

Responsibilities:

• Ability to provide individualized, substance use, and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
• All employees are required to have basic computer skills. These basic skills will include knowledge of creating folders, saving and retrieving files, e-mail (Outlook), MS Office (Word and Excel), using web browsers such as Internet Explorer and/or Mozilla Firefox, along with operating a keyboard, mouse, and printer.
• Meet minimum standards for screening of mental health personnel as contained in F.S. 394.4572
