Controller spec:

• 3-5 years of controller and management experience
• Light industrial manufacturing business experience
• Metals fabrication experience preferred
• Hands on experience of “doing the work” – entrepreneurial!
• Managed a small team of accounting and other staff
• QB SYSTEM WIDE EXPERT A MUST!!!
• QB Construction Trade module experience a must!
• Significant manufacturing cost accounting experience a must!
• Job costing experience a must
• Self starter/ go getter!
• Diligent and professional
• Solutions oriented
• Deadline driven
• Understands personal accountability
• Driven to outperform expectations
• Highly organized and efficient in work flow
• a planner is a must!
• Excellent follow-through skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Expert user of MS Office Suite, especially XLS high-level proficiency
• Familiarity with preparation of AIA schedules for billing purposes
• 100% fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English; Spanish fluency preferred
• Wants to be our company CFO one day!
• CPA licensed preferable

Duties and responsibilities:
• Monthly cash flow budgeting
• Daily cash reporting/checkbook management
• Monthly closing of books and preparation of financial statements
• Job costing analysis and budget vs. actual performance analysis
• Project WIP schedule preparation and updating
• KPI and other analysis with monthly financials
• Other accounting schedules used including used for CPA corporate returns tax prep (fe.g., fixed asset schedules)
• AR, AP
• Vendor management/relations/terms and credit
• Inventory analysis (incl work-in-process costing and valuation)
• 3rd party Payroll and HR processing and oversight
• Bonding, Insurance and other general corporate matters
