Accounts Receivable Cash Application Specialist - Saint Petersburg

Accountemps is seeking an Accounts Receivable Cash Application Specialist for an large client in downtown Saint Petersburg, FL. This is a temporary opportunity paying up to $25/hour depending on experience.

The Accounts Receivable Cash Application Specialist performs cycle accounts receivable processing across multiple companies, applies cash receipts to customer invoices or General Ledger accounts, reviews unapplied items to ensure eventual application, prepares monthly AR accruals, monitors AR aging and researches systems discrepancies while ensuring all Company policies and procedures are followed. Other duties will be assigned as required.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Posting and balancing cash applied via various payment systems by payment source, lockbox/checks, credit cards, lockbox posting, and electronically transferred funds to customer accounts.
2. Maintains Accounts Receivable transactions for multiple companies.
3. Process manual check deposits for multiple companies.
4. Process customer refunds from policy systems.
5. Research and resolve cash application and unapplied cash issues.
6. Prompt cash application and clearance of outstanding balances in cash suspense accounts in policy systems daily.
