Job Description

This position will maintain, repair and service facility systems. Performs maintenance and repair services of facility systems such as mechanical, electrical, and building systems. Assists more experienced technicians. Conduct periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair. Work as a member of the mold setting crew.

Responsibilities:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide maintenance and repairs to production machinery and facility.
- Performs the required maintenance to ensure the facility and equipment are operating correctly.
- Performs all maintenance activities in a safe, clean and efficient manner.
- Replace and repair parts, rebuild equipment, align gears, shafts, pulleys and belts.
- Utilizes illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment.
- Performs inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory.
- Set molds in injection molding machines with assistance.
- Responds to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
- Performs preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan.
- Records activities in the CMMS
- Participates in a maintenance training program to improve knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Develops skills in mechanical, electrical and HVAC fields.

Working hours: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Skills:
- High school diploma or general education certification.
- Required: Up to 1 year of related experience
- Basic Computer skills
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language.
- Mechanical or electrical experience
- Prior electro-mechanical experience a plus
- Proficient in performing equipment preventive maintenance.
- Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions.
- Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment, and have a strong attention to detail.
- Must have a mechanical aptitude.
- Must be a pro-active, self starter.
- Lean 5S and/or other Six Sigma experience is a plus.
- Dependability and ability to adapt to change are essential.
- Ability to operate powered lift equipment (forklift, wave picker, hoists, etc.).
- Requires forklift certification or ability to become forklift certified.

Qualifications:
INTER-RELATIONSHIPS
Direction is given by Maintenance Supervisor. Will interface with maintenance team members, production workers and administrative staff.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a general manufacturing environment or distribution center environment. Seasonal temperatures may be extreme at times including excessive heat or cold.
