Qualifications:

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens seeks a Story Development Student Intern Coordinator with a talent for researching and coordinating story development for its Beyond Vizcaya platform. This internship is for Fall 2025 and will assist in the production of collaborative storytelling media focused on sharing and co-creating community memory. Storytellers representative of Vizcayas audiences will take part in these events to set the tone for conversation and inspire attendees to share their own stories. The Department of English is seeking a Student Research Intern for the Fall 2025 semester. The Student Research Intern will assist the Professor on a research project. This research project, Translingualism and AI Writing Tools, investigates the intersection of AI writing tools, translingualism, and digital colonialism. It aims to promote linguistic justice by developing a transnational peer tutoring platform connecting universities in the U.S. and Mexico. The project critically examines how AI writing tools can marginalize non-Western languages and knowledge systems and explores ways to decolonize these technologies.

• Research inclusive large language models (LLMs) that support translingual writing.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens seeks a Story Development Student Intern Coordinator with a talent for researching and coordinating story development for its Beyond Vizcaya platform. This internship is for Fall 2025 and will assist in the production of collaborative storytelling media focused on sharing and co-creating community memory. Storytellers representative of Vizcayas audiences will take part in these events to set the tone for conversation and inspire attendees to share their own stories. These media will be showcased on Vizcayas website and social platforms. The person in this position will perform research in Vizcayas archives and develop storytelling partnerships in the Miami area to create stories for this project. The intern reports to the Director of the Technology and Digital Initiatives Department.  

Responsibilities:  

• Research stories using Vizcayas archives and collections, as well as other cultural institutions.  

• Identify stories and storytellers throughout south Florida related to the content theme and examine connections to Vizcays stories.
