Job Summary

Florida International University Libraries Digital Collections Center (DCC) invites applications for a dynamic and challenging undergraduate internship position for the Fall 2025 semester. 

The mission of the DCC is to build online collections of enduring value for the university and broader user community by identifying, digitizing, and preserving information resources of scholarly, educational, and civic interest. The Center's digital collections focus on local and regional content of historical, cultural, and educational importance. This includes materials such as unique and rare books; photographs; maps; oral histories; FIU scholarly and creative works; reports, and ephemera. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Acquiring hands-on experience in digital collections workflows, standards, and technologies.  
  • Applying training to scanning; the creation and quality assurance of metadata; use of digital library system software for online dissemination; and digital preservation of born digital and digitized materials.  

Interns will work closely with Digital Collections Center faculty and staff on current departmental projects to digitize and preserve content. Projects may also require research and project documentation. 

Minimum Qualifications

Open to Humanities majors only (Art, Art History, English, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Modern Languages, etc.) 

  • Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days.

Job Summary

The Department of English is seeking a Student Research Intern for the Fall 2025 semester. The Student Research Intern will assist the Professor on a research project. This research project, Translingualism and AI Writing Tools, investigates the intersection of AI writing tools, translingualism, and digital colonialism. It aims to promote linguistic justice by developing a transnational peer tutoring platform connecting universities in the U.S. and Mexico. The project critically examines how AI writing tools can marginalize non-Western languages and knowledge systems and explores ways to decolonize these technologies. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Contribute to an annotated bibliography on AI writing tools and linguistic justice. 
  • Research inclusive large language models (LLMs) that support translingual writing. 
  • Schedule and coordinate virtual meetings between peer tutors from partner institutions. 
  • Take detailed notes during meetings and tutoring sessions. 
  • Assist in conducting and transcribing interviews with peer tutors. 
  • Support the development of training modules for AI-assisted tutoring.

Job Summary

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens seeks a Story Development Student Intern Coordinator with a talent for researching and coordinating story development for its Beyond Vizcaya platform. This internship is for Fall 2025 and will assist in the production of collaborative storytelling media focused on sharing and co-creating community memory. Storytellers representative of Vizcayas audiences will take part in these events to set the tone for conversation and inspire attendees to share their own stories. These media will be showcased on Vizcayas website and social platforms. The person in this position will perform research in Vizcayas archives and develop storytelling partnerships in the Miami area to create stories for this project. The intern reports to the Director of the Technology and Digital Initiatives Department.  

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Research stories using Vizcayas archives and collections, as well as other cultural institutions.  
  • Identify stories and storytellers throughout south Florida related to the content theme and examine connections to Vizcays stories.  
  • Contribute researched content to planned live streamed storytelling events as well as the project blog, audio postcards and produced video content.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • 5+ years of experience in food production, pet food manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface directly with executive leadership and the CEO.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Experience with SOPs, batch documentation, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, inventory tracking systems, and production planning tools (e.g., Shopify, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations or other relevant food safety frameworks is a plus.

 

Education and Experience

  • An associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Operations, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3–5 years in a food or pet product manufacturing leadership role.
  • Experience handling perishable products, baked goods, or shelf-stable CPG items preferred.

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative talent acquisition leader to drive sourcing initiatives that support our evolving workforce needs. In this role, you’ll partner closely with the local HR team, global talent and sourcing functions, and business leaders to align hiring strategies with organizational goals. We’re seeking an individual with strong communication, organizational, and planning skills, along with 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition and management. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing and executing sourcing strategies while building strong cross-functional relationships to meet hiring objectives.

 

Role Overview:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and budgets.
  • Work hand in hand with our shared service recruiting team, primarily based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
  • Leverage platforms such as Talent Neuron and Workday Recruiting.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify hiring needs and understand business requirements.
  • Build and maintain diverse candidate pipelines through external partnerships and networks.
  • Establish partnerships and strategic alliances to expand awareness of our employer brand and broaden the talent pool; this may include university partnerships, industry/trade associations, third-party recruiters, community partners, and affinity groups.
  • Lead university fair coordination and participate in on-campus activities as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with workforce planning and HRBPs to anticipate hiring needs and develop proactive strategies.
  • Provide market intelligence to support agile and informed hiring decisions.
  • Implement localized sourcing strategies to strengthen regional pipelines.
  • Create and support training initiatives that enhance hiring manager effectiveness.
  • Oversee college recruiting programs, including recent graduates, internships, and entry-level rotational programs.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to manage talent brokering efforts, support succession planning, and recommend developmental rotations.
  • Monitor turnover trends and analyze exit interview data to derive insights into our talent process.
  • Demonstrate strong technical recruiting skills, including advanced direct sourcing via LinkedIn and similar platforms.
