Description

The Bridge is in search of a Bilingual Shelter Advocate who will provide legal advocacy, crisis intervention, on-call accompaniments, support groups and case management to survivors of domestic/sexual violence in a 100-bed Emergency Shelter setting. Provide case management to clients in a residential setting by conducting initial client intake, safety planning, and conducting case management meeting one on one with clients on a regularly scheduled basis to develop and update goals, provide information and referrals regarding employment, healthcare, and other self-sufficiency related issues. Provide crisis intervention services by staffing 24-hour hotline on an as-needed basis.

Advocate for residents by accompanying to legal proceedings as needed, providing legal referrals and providing educational information regarding the legal system, assisting with documentation of services for referral to other social service agencies that lead to self-sufficiency. Prepare documentation of all services provided to residents in compliance with grant objectives in a timely manner. Implement and monitor monthly calendar of culturally relevant life skill building, psycho-educational, and empowerment activities for adult residents utilizing staff and volunteers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in social sciences field. In lieu of educational requirement, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of one year’s experience in social services or customer related field.
  • Bilingual; English/Spanish
  • Must rotate on-call responsibility a minimum of approximately 2-3 24-hour shifts per month to provide accompaniments to victims of FV/SA at local hospitals, police departments, schools, etc
  • Knowledge of the dynamics of sexual and domestic violence, laws related to sexual and domestic violence and an overview of legal system
  • Ability to establish rapport and work with at-risk populations

What You'll Do

Summary

Spark is looking for a Customer Support Associate In this role, you will assist health insurance agents with their inquiries and provide initial support to clients. Your role involves addressing basic issues, escalating complex cases, and ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders. You will work closely with internal teams to resolve our clients' problems.

You will report to the Customer Experience Manager and partner with them to create an exceptional experience to our growing customer base.

Please note:

  • This is a full-time time hourly paid position with a pay range of $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
  • This is a remote-first position with a preference for an individual residing in Pacific Time Zone or Mountain Time Zone

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Agents and Clients: Provide first-level support to health insurance agents and clients through various communication channels, including phone, email, and chat.
  • Triage Requests: Efficiently categorize and prioritize incoming requests to ensure timely resolution or escalation to appropriate departments.
  • Issue Resolution: Address common inquiries related to contact and onboarding status, as well as, ad hoc requests from both internal and external customers.
  • Documentation: Accurately document interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from agents and clients to identify areas for improvement in processes and services.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to resolve complex issues and improve service delivery.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Competencies:
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proficiency in using ticketing software and other communication tools
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Qualifications:
    • Previous experience in customer service or support roles, preferably in the health insurance industry
    • Fluency in Spanish is required
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in healthcare or insurance are a plus

Your Mission:

 

In this role, you will develop, coordinate and oversee all marketing and advertising activities for assigned franchisees within the Latin America & Caribbean region. You will provide ongoing marketing and brand direction and support to franchisees with local marketing programs. You will work with marketing to team to develop short-term and long-term strategies and marketing programs focused on driving sales, traffic, market share growth and branding across the region. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills required.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact:

 

  • Plan, develop and execute marketing programs based on consumer insights and business needs.
  • Work with media and creative agencies to develop and execute marketing programs that fulfill brand needs.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to ensure collaboration and support to marketing initiatives that drive business goals.
  • Support, coach, and counsel franchisees with local store marketing programs.
  • Assure brand standards are consistently met across the region.
  • Assesses regional performance and opportunities across all franchisees.
  • Travel within region to fully understand market dynamics, identify new sales opportunities, and to assist franchisees with their specific marketing needs.
  • Provides analysis and recommendations related to regional initiatives.
  • May assist with regional market tests such as but not limited to new products, promotions, and pricing.
  • Develop branded training programs for local marketing teams.
  • Analyzes marketing plan effectiveness and cost efficiencies with franchisee for priority situations. Provides further developmental recommendations as needed.
  • Communicates with franchisees, marketing staff and senior management on marketing plans and strategies. Ensures timely, accurate and thorough marketing communication to assigned area of responsibility.
  • Collects and analyzes annual ad-plan for all assigned franchisees. Provides recommendations and coaches as necessary to stimulate further sales and/or further target investment dollars.
  • Identifies and develops marketing action plans, including local store marketing, for priority markets and priority store situations. Assist when needed in plan execution.
  • Conducts meetings (individual, DMA, or CoOp) in-field to expand knowledge bases and further develop Local and Local Store Marketing.

 

Who You Are:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing, communications, or advertising or equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Five years proven experience developing and executing marketing plans.
  • The ability to analytically and statistically evaluate print, broadcast, marketing effectiveness, overall sales and competitive trends.
  • Knowledge and understanding of vertically integrated marketing philosophies.
  • Excellent presentations skills, with the ability to convey facts and ideas clearly to both individuals and large groups.
  • Experience in agency processes as briefing, creative development and media planning.
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Evidence of well-developed verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent planning, time-management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat.
  • The ability to travel 50% by airplane, automobile, or public transportation as necessary, and to adhere to the travel policy guidelines.
  • The ability to work evenings and weekends and in the store as required and directed.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • Experienced in the retail or consumer goods industry, preferably in field marketing.
  • Understands basic restaurant operations, particularly customer service.

  • Half of working time spent in the marketplace consulting with franchisees and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing efforts and expenditures. No hazardous conditions present.
