What We Need We are looking for a Senior Underwriter Manager (leader of a group of credit analysts) whose job is to lead, develop the team of Underwriters, and to analyze and obtain approval to grant financing for the largest or more complex customers in the assigned region, for a company that operates in a fast paced and evolving automotive industry. Are you: A leader capable of performing credit analysis and train and coach the assigned team so that knowledge is shared among the team members? Capable to detect the current skills and areas of opportunities of team members and assign projects so team members can apply strong skills while they develop areas of opportunities? Can communicate clearly and synthesize information in an efficient and clear manner in a credit approval document? Self starter, organized and with analytical skills and interest on vehicle fleets? As a Senior Underwriter, will be responsible for (i) leading the assigned team (ii) coaching team members (iii) assign workload evenly (iv) ensure that new credits and renewals are performed on a timely manner and (iv) perform some complex or large credit analysis and approvals and (v) manage activities for a portfolio of credits. A Day in the Life Ensure that team members are making progress on their new credit approvals and renewals. Assign time to detect and coach each member’s areas of opportunities. Detect aspects that can be automated or enhanced in the Underwriting function, to achieve better results For selected customers (i) Receive customer’s financial information and carry out the financial health analysis. Also, understand and question projected financial statements and (ii) Write the credit analysis document, detecting the critical quantitative and qualitative aspects of borrowers from different sectors. Lead ad-hoc projects to improve efficiency in the Risk function Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economy, Business administration, or careers with a strong analytical skillset. Minimum 10 years of credit analysis experience in financial institutions. All credit approvals should be done in English so advanced English – 100% written and spoken is a must. Advanced Excel skills are a plus.
