Description

The Accounting Manager of Revenue Recognition will be responsible for ensuring proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 along with managing all the transactional accounting activities related to service revenue. This person will also be responsible for reviewing customer contracts and working with our sales and operations teams. Assessing current processes and making recommendations for improvement and following through on implementation.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain processes and procedures that ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and accounting policies
  • Review third party royalty calculations
  • Work with the Revenue, Senior Manager to manage the fair value process around contracts including SSP calculations
  • Integral player in the contract administration process for new customer contracts
  • Review and approve relevant balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review and approve journal entries to record revenue and deferred revenue during the month-end close process
  • Reviews service revenue results along with preparing management reports to be presented to the Revenue, Senior Manager
  • Continuously develop revenue accounting staff by providing feedback and opportunities for growth.
  • Identify, maintain, and implement internal controls related to revenue recognition
  • Work with non-core team members on various ad-hoc requests

    • Required Qualifications:

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office
  • Proven working experience as an accounting supervisor or manager
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytic skills and interest in continuous process improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Active CPA

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public Accounting experience
  • Understanding of accounting guidelines for SaaS revenue recognition
