Job Overview:

We are seeking a solar installer to assist with solar installation projects in the tri-state area. The solar installer is responsible for assembling and installing solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to roofs, or other structures, in compliance with site assessment and schematics.

Requirements:

  • Measuring, cutting, assembling, hoisting, anchoring and placing solar modules
  • Install photovoltaic solar modules panels in accordance with codes and standards, using drawings, schematics and instructions
  • Apply weather sealing to array, building or support mechanisms
  • Identify and resolve any deficiencies in photovoltaic (PV) system electrical circuit
  • Qualifications:

  • 1-2 Years’ of experience in roofing or solar installation preferred
  • Background knowledge of solar systems and electrical components preferred
  • General Construction knowledge preferred
  • Ability to work safely on a roof
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Safely ascend and descend ladders
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 to 50 pounds
  • Good mechanical skill set such as; working with hands, tools, climbing, good sense of balance, bending, kneeling, etc.
  • Reliable, hardworking, arrives to work on time
  • Experience with all types of hand-held and power tools
  • Capable of listening and communicating with supervision and other employees
