To strengthen our Neurology Unit we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Medical Science Liaison, based in Mexico City, reporting to Ana Romero, Field Medical Lead Neurology.

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a professional who serves as a key field-based scientific resource for healthcare providers, patients, payers, internal UCB colleagues and other important stakeholders in the ecosystem with a two-way interaction for timely, accurate and fair-balanced information sharing.

You will contribute by:

  • Encourage Real World Evidence (RWE) and Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) data generation developing purposeful partnerships with key scientific influencers to drive actionable insights, along with internal stakeholders and collaborates to advance local patient value-oriented initiates.
  • Ensure UCB Operational Compliance to the highest professional standards. The expectation is that Compliance is a part of how we operate. Adherence to compliant behavior is an expectation at UCB.
  • Provide scientific support for clinical research, IIS guidance and share pipeline development.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of therapeutic area, including related disease states and comorbid medical conditions, as well as of UCB products and other therapeutic options.
  • Review, analyze and discuss scientific publications.
  • Communicate scientific knowledge observing internal and external guidelines and policies.
  • Provide effective clinical presentations to internal and external audiences, and tailors presentations to meet specific audience needs.
  • Conduct local education events and programs that aim to satisfy the specific needs of individual KOLs and institutions.
  • Serve as a scientific resource at key medical events, internal meetings and advocacy group meetings.
  • Keep informed on the most recent therapeutic tendencies locally, regionally and globally to share with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participates in scientific training for UCB staff.
  • Collaborate with Medical Information colleagues in the response of unsolicited questions.
  • Support Access colleagues when applicable in presentation of RWE/HEOR/clinical information to regional and local payer accounts and formularies
  • Are you interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Degree: Medical Doctor with clinical experience of any specialty.
  • English: advanced level (reading, conversation and writing).
  • Computer skills: Office (Excel, Power Point, Word).
  • Two years of experience as a:Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) / MSP or Clinical Research Associate (CRA).
