Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, an operating company of Danaher Corporation, is recruiting for a Manager, Technical Product Specialist. This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in the US.

In this role, you will lead a team of Technical Product Specialists (TPS) who will support the sales organization in gaining market share and competitive capture while aligning their activities with key growth initiatives within Hematology/Urinalysis. This includes collaborating very closely with the regional sales leadership to ensure that the TPS team is engaged within the most critical accounts and contributing to high impact sales activities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Developing, coaching and directing team on positioning Hematology and Urinalysis products to customers at a highly technical and data-driven level
  • Regular 1:1’s, development planning and feedback discussions with associates through phone discussions and ride-alongs
  • Consistently collaborating cross-functionally with marketing and the business unit on new product launches, market intelligence and key initiatives to drive business forward
  • Setting direction for the team and ensuring alignment with the rest of the selling organization; working closely with the Sales Team on pre-sale demos and evaluation support
  • Focusing on the sales funnel and engaging sales team to support the most critical sales opportunities with appropriate prioritization and accountability
  • Working closely with the Sales Team to capture new recurring revenue contracts and support retention opportunities
  • Serving as a business unit liaison for new and future product introductions and disseminating critical technical information to team
  • Supporting, through associates, workflow analyses, technical customer presentations, and side-by-side evaluations and clinical impact positioning
  • Attending regionally appropriate industry meetings, tradeshows, etc.
  • Successful Candidates will have:

  • Demonstrated track record of success in Hematology and Urinalysis with a solid understanding of hematology and urinalysis workflow; clinical impact in areas of emergency medicine, oncology and others
  • Experience in relentlessly attracting, engaging and developing people; can cultivate teams quickly and build strong relationships by establishing significant credibility, trust and support within teams, customers, as well as being able to develop strong followership within the commercial organization.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and executive presence with an ability to work with people at multiple levels both inside and outside of Danaher; can influence strongly cross-functionally within the organization, gaining agreement and engagement.
  • Excellent process orientation with a proven track record of leading sustainable change and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and excellent time and territory management habits.
  • Requirements:

  • Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Science degree is highly preferred.
  • 9+ years’ experience required in clinical diagnostics in a technical and/or customer facing role
  • 5+ clinical lab experience preferred
  • Direct people leadership is preferred but not required
  • Certified Specialist in Hematology (SH) Certification American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent preferred
  • Requires up to 70% travel.
