We are currently searching for a Software Engineer with experience with Data to joins us as a consultant working with US client remotely. You will work with Data Architect(s) and other DAI personnel and take the lead to develop and maintain data flows, data workflows and other code/logic to gather, create and deliver high quality reliable data to meet the needs of the client’s business. In particular the data flows, workflows and other code/logic used for managing the client’s Master Data is an area of concentration for this position. These efforts will support the client’s analytics and transactional needs. Additionally, this position will support our client’s Data Enablement Technologies and Data Users with on-call responsibilities, direct end-user tickets and addressing performance or quality issues.



MDM Data Engineer:

Relevant Experience required 7+ yrs
Expertise with Master Data Management technologies, techniques, and patterns.
Knowledge of appropriate development languages such as R/Python/SQL/Java and database technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server
Knowledge of Spark computing
Knowledge of Oracle EBS and Salesforce highly desirable
Expertise in Data Engineering practice
Experience with Data Governance practice including Data Stewardship
Experience with Data Catalog tools (Alation experience a benefit.)
Knowledge of Data Lakes, Data Hubs and Data Warehouses
Knowledge of analytics and data science/ML/AI requirements
Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders and users about business processes and requirements
Ability to effectively explain Master Data Management practice and their benefits in layman’s terms
Experience using Azure Data Management tools
Knowledge of information principles and processes
Experience using DevOps
Ability to work in an Agile delivery framework
Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical and skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with developers in an in-and-out outsourced environment
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree.
Monthly Salary: open to negotiate

Responsibilities:

25% Technical design work – Technical specifications and analysis required to meet business needs. Leads collaboration on technical design for significant business requirements related to master data. Offers input and advice to technical analysts on design options with pros and cons.
35% Code development – Develop code and logic to create and deliver reliable master data.
10% Project management – Manage work to create and deliver reliable master data needed by prioritized data initiatives.
15% Day to day support of existing environment – Production issue resolution (alerts, tickets, requests from analysts). Able to quickly diagnose highly critical issues in high pressure situations. Also, comes up with workarounds to allow the business to continue to function while the root cause is still unknown.
10% Capacity/performance management – Able to use multiple methods to solve complex performance issues where very little information is known. Resource for the rest of the technical analysts when performance assistance is needed.
5% Documentation and support handoff – Produce documentation to turn over to functional analyst or Sr. Analyst/Expert to be saved to appropriate location. Establishes standards for documentation methods and content.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Responsibilities outside of normal business hours: On-call rotation as assigned. Support for implementations of projects assigned will occur on weekends.
