IT Engineer Associate - Jacksonville

POSITION SUMMARY:

TIAA Bank is seeking an IT Engineer Associate to administer software applications, network systems and databases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Troubleshoots systemic issues, documenting issues and working to resolve problems.
• Makes observations and recommendations to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.
• Administers applications and systems to ensure efficient functioning.
• Assists with assigned projects or research.
• May administer IT Security programs
• Participates in IT Security assessments, risk analysis and reporting
• Responds to requests for information on IT company policies, practices, guidelines and standards.
• Responsible for responding to system administration requests.
• May provide system or security awareness related training
• May be required to lift 25 lbs. or more
• May require 24/7 on call responsibility
• Will be required to work nights and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience:

• 2 or more years of experience working in Information Technology.
• Experience with Windows Operating Systems Support.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience as defined below
• Broad knowledge of Information Technology field and computer systems.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Strong ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Logical, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Must display initiative, ability to work independently.
• Ability to react quickly to a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
• Ability to follow project plans as well as adapt to changing conditions.
• Ability to work seamlessly within a team as well as manage individual tasks.
• Knowledge of basics Data Center Operations hardware and software.
• UPS knowledge is a plus.
• Virtual and physical OS builds and maintenance to include firmware updates.
• Linux experience a plus
