TIAA Bank is seeking an IT Engineer Associate to administer software applications, network systems and databases.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Troubleshoots systemic issues, documenting issues and working to resolve problems.
Makes observations and recommendations to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.
Administers applications and systems to ensure efficient functioning.
Assists with assigned projects or research.
May administer IT Security programs
Participates in IT Security assessments, risk analysis and reporting
Responds to requests for information on IT company policies, practices, guidelines and standards.
Responsible for responding to system administration requests.
May provide system or security awareness related training
May be required to lift 25 lbs. or more
May require 24/7 on call responsibility
Will be required to work nights and weekends.
2 or more years of experience working in Information Technology.
Experience with Windows Operating Systems Support.
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience as defined below
Broad knowledge of Information Technology field and computer systems.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience in the financial services industry.
Strong ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Logical, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Must display initiative, ability to work independently.
Ability to react quickly to a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
Ability to follow project plans as well as adapt to changing conditions.
Ability to work seamlessly within a team as well as manage individual tasks.
Knowledge of basics Data Center Operations hardware and software.
UPS knowledge is a plus.
Virtual and physical OS builds and maintenance to include firmware updates.
