Ultimate Software is seeking a passionate and engaging IT Controls Analyst to work with teams across the company to reinforce our customer and prospect trust in our people, processes and technology. The analyst will be responsible for handling all internal and external requests in relation to Ultimate Software Privacy, Risk and Compliance programs. Conduct assessments to identify and make recommendations on information risk and control optimization. The IT Controls Analyst will coordinate and participate in different efforts throughout the Privacy, Risk and Compliance department including assistance and support with customer facing deliverables.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and respond to customer compliance requests and security assessment questionnaires.
  • Assigns requests and/or questions to different teams, team members, and resources as needed.
  • Support the sales process by assisting in Request for Proposals (RFPs) and in compliance discussions with prospects.
  • Work closely with different teams across the organization to timely and accurately respond to customer requests and security assessment questionnaires
  • Maintain a repository of standard responses and documents used to fulfill request
  • Conduct compliance assessments by understanding business objectives, structure, policies and procedures, internal controls, and external regulations
  • Document systems, processes and controls using narratives
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls over key IT risk
  • Identify and recommend business process changes resulting in strengthened internal controls
  • Collaborate with control owners to implement process changes and track to completion
  • Produce quality and professional deliverables reflecting Ultimate Software's brand
  • Provide reporting to management in a timely manner
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers

    • Skills / Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience on general IT control testing
  • Knowledge and understanding of SaaS "Software as a Service", and Information Technology concepts
  • Knowledge and solid understanding of IT audit, information security, risk management, regulatory and compliance
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Customer service attitude and orientation
  • Experience successfully supporting internal and external customers
  • Solid time management skills
  • Ability to work and deliver multiple projects with well defined timelines and deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to be flexible and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, and accountable

    • Education/Certification/License:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems or related fields
  • 2-3 years of work experience in security, risk management, customer service, technical writing or similar role
  • Experience with industry certifications and regulations: ISO Certifications, SOC 1 and SOC 2, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), GDPR.
  • Experience with vendor assessment frameworks and tools (e.g.: Standardized Information Gathering Questionnaire - SIG, Consensus Assessments Initiative Questionnaire - CAIQ)

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Language: French and German preferred
