Job Description:

The School of Social Work at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a twelve-month instructor or lecturer position to begin Spring 2021.

This instructional position in the online MSW track reports to the director of the School of Social Work and collaborates with the program director for the online MSW program. This non-tenured position is full-time and contingent upon availability of funds.

Responsibilities include teaching online courses and committee work as appropriate and as assigned within the School of Social Work and the College of Health Professions and Sciences.

Housed within the College of Health Professions and Sciences, the UCF School of Social Work offers a bachelor's degree in Social Work, a master's degree in Social Work, and a Social Work track in the interdisciplinary Public Affairs Ph.D. program. Minimum Qualifications:

For instructor rank: A Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited program. A minimum of two years of post-MSW practice experience and at least one to two years of full-time online teaching experience at the university level. Demonstrated experience in creatively developing and engaging students in online distance learning process. Social work teaching experience in two or more of the following fields: clinical practice, global healthcare practice, policy, research, human behavior. Applicants must submit a list of courses taught and recent teaching evaluations.

For lecturer rank: A Ph.D./DSW in Social Work or related field from an accredited institution. A minimum of two years of post-MSW practice experience and at least one to two years of full-time online teaching experience at the university level. Demonstrated experience in creatively developing and engaging students in online distance learning process. Social work teaching experience in two or more of the following fields: clinical practice, global healthcare practice, policy, research, human behavior. Applicants must submit a list of courses taught and recent teaching evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Ph.D./DSW in Social Work or related field from an accredited institution. Online teaching experience, experience with Canvas, experience designing, developing, and delivering synchronous and asynchronous online social work course curricula. Experience teaching course content related to CSWE competencies. Prefer experience in global healthcare practice.

This is a non-tenure earning twelve-month, full-time (1.0 FTE) position, contingent upon availability of funds.
