The Bay County Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Information Specialist.

This position will


  • Handle all incoming telephone calls.
  • Direct visitors to various departments and meetings in the Chamber.
  • Answer mail and email daily. Keep records of various types of inquiries.
  • Sort and distribute all incoming mail and process outgoing mail.
  • Maintain the Chamber Calendar and update weekly.
  • Maintain the Community Calendar and update daily submissions by community.
  • Coordinate use of meeting rooms by members.
  • Assist with keeping the membership database updated.
  • Prepare daily deposit of any funds received.
  • Keep lobby brochure racks filled and updated with only current members.
  • Handle all incoming deliveries and route to appropriate departments.
  • Keep the lobby area clean.
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities of departments as necessary.

    Skills: Good computer knowledge to include Microsoft Word and Excel, great organizational skills and great people skills.

    Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

    Experience: Three years’ experience in a related administrative position.

    The Bay County Chamber of Commerce offers an excellent benefits package including 100% paid health insurance for the employee, 401k retirement plan, along with paid holidays, vacation and sick leave. Salary range is $21,000-$23,000 DOE.
