We are searching for a Clinical Dietitian to function as a member of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to screen newly-admitted patients to identify those at nutritional risk. The Clinical Dietitian provides total nutritional care and education to patients across the facility.
What you will do in this role:
- You will assess the nutritional needs of patients and develop and implement nutritional care plans in accordance with the physician’s diagnoses and requirements of regulatory agencies.
- You will communicate information pertinent to the nutritional care of the patient through documentation in the patient's medical records and verbally with other care team providers.
- You will develop and maintain regular and therapeutic meals/menus.
- You will provide nutrition counseling to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients plus the terminally ill patients as well as their families or significant others.
- You will actively participate in projects, committees and task forces to improve department and hospital processes and patient care outcomes.
- You will stay current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications and standards of practice.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required; A Master’s Degree with a concentration in Nutrition is preferred
- Must be licensed as a Dietitian in the state which you practice, in accordance with law and regulation
- Registered Dietitian status with the Commission in Dietetic Registration is required
- 1 year of Clinical Dietitian experience is preferred
