Reputable company representing global ecommerce brands is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical support by assisting with hardware installations, software upgrades, systems integrations, and basic IT-related issues.
-Address user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking.
-Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems.
-Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions.
-Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
-Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals.
-Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software.
-Troubleshooting networking and connection issues.
-Advising on software or hardware upgrades.
-Conduct remote troubleshooting.
-Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue.
-Customize desktop applications to meet user needs.
-Record technical issues and solutions in logs.
-Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
-Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional.
-Report customer feedback and potential product requests.

-Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer or similar role
-Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
-Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
-Experience with Office 365 or Microsoft Exchange
-Strong understanding of VMware
-Knowledge of VOIP, preferably Cisco
-Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
-Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
-Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues
-CompTIA A+ certification preferred
-CompTIA Network certification preferred
