Current Need

We are seeking a Credit & Collections Specialist to join the McKesson Medical-Surgical team! 


Position Description
The Credit & Collections Specialist is responsible for all collections activities of the most complex accounts for a region, including reporting out progress to leadership and engaging with Sales on these accounts as well as implementing strategies to ensure accounts stay current once resolved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working with customers to collect on complex and large dollar accounts
  • Reports on progress to Sales and AR leadership
  • Responsible for implementing guardrails to prevent customer from falling behind again, tracking and monitoring accounts
  • Maintains promissory notes for the region
  • Responsible for mentoring new hires for the team
  • Minimum Requirements
    Typically requires 5+ years of related experience


    Critical Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience with credit and/or collections
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
  • Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Requires judgment and initiative and the ability to resolve difficult issues. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with field personnel and/or external customers highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards/ Salesforce.com/ Get Paid preferred
  • Excellent written / verbal communications.
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in addition to detail focus.
  • Flexible, open to demand of industry changes and business decisions.
  • Negotiation / assertiveness skills.
  • Education
    HS Diploma or Equivalent

    Physical Requirements

  • Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required
  • General office demands
