Looking to hire:

Monitoring & Evaluation Associate

1. Support the M&E/VAM unit to provide the CO with food security and vulnerability information management capacity by maintaining and updating databases of socioeconomic data, including the impact of COVID-19 in Nicaragua.
2. Carry out and/or contribute to the economic and social analysis of context, thematic studies and research on topics as requested in the face of different events and / or emergencies, in specific the analysis of the socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic relevant to the strategic positioning of WFP in the country.
3. Develop and maintain, jointly with field monitors, databases for the processing of information from the monitoring of emergency operations and development (includes in-app programming for mobile devices or other options for data entry such as ODK, GeoODK, ONA, CsPro, STATA, Access, among others).
4. In coordination with the field offices, follow up on the monitoring of consumer prices of basic grains in local markets and in WFP intervention areas; as well as monitoring of prices to the producer, wholesalers and agricultural inputs.
5. Support planning and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities integrating the COVID analysis.
6. Updating of data collection instruments for monitoring programs implemented by WFP to be conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
7. Carry out the primary data collection through the application of surveys and focus groups, adapting to the context due the COVID-19 pandemic.
8. Training for field monitors on the use of designed monitoring instruments, use of mobile devices and data entry, utilizing remote techniques due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
9. Data processing and cleaning, as well as corporate indicators tabulation as required.
10. Carry out regular field visits in order to support and complement M&E data on issues identified in programme implementation as required and allowed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
11. Draft regular monitoring reports on status of results and implementation progress and contribute to the data analysis.
12. Other duties as required.
