How You Will Impact Education

In your instructional role, you will plan and implement a Spanish immersion program that aligns with the company's philosophy and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study. You will create purposeful lesson plans that utilize effective teaching strategies to maximize time on task. When presenting subject matter to students, the focus will be on maximizing language acquisition opportunities by incorporating real-world application examples and cultural insights. You will review student records to understand each student's abilities and needs while maintaining accurate and complete documentation.

Your goal will be to maximize the educational achievement of each student by employing a variety of learning modalities and differentiated instruction strategies specifically designed for language learners. Frequent diagnostic assessments will help you evaluate student learning, allowing you to assess strengths and weaknesses and provide appropriate activities that address individual student needs. You will generate progress reports as required and refer students with suspected learning challenges to the appropriate support personnel.

Additionally, you will coordinate class field trips and prepare students for state-required achievement assessments. It is crucial to stay current in your subject matter knowledge and learning theory, as well as to be familiar with best practices for language instruction. You will assist in the ongoing revision of the curriculum, including the selection of instructional materials that reflect the ACTFL Standards for language proficiency.

Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning

You will create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and aligns with the maturity and interests of your students. Maintaining a positive rapport with students while demonstrating patience and nurturing is essential for their growth. You will ensure that the classroom is clean, safe, and showcases student-generated work. Implementing relevant policies governing student conduct and developing reasonable rules will help maintain order fairly and consistently.

Instructional Planning

Your responsibilities will include developing lesson plans consistent with established guidelines and objectives. You will plan individual and group learning activities tailored to meet instructional objectives and student needs. Evidence of preparation for classes will be expected upon request from supervisory personnel. You will participate in curriculum planning meetings with other staff members and incorporate diagnostic information as required in students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Taking necessary precautions to protect supplies, equipment, and materials will be part of your planning.

School/Community Relations

Establishing cooperative relationships with parents and guardians is vital, and you will strive to communicate clearly and positively using appropriate mediums. Collaboration with administration, other staff members, and CSUSA will be key in maintaining confidentiality regarding student records and participating in parent communication activities. Your involvement in extracurricular activities will support a positive school culture and provide additional support for students and staff as required.

Job Requirements

You should demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to your position and to the mission of the company. A valid Louisiana elementary or early childhood teaching certification with an endorsement in Spanish or equivalent credentials is required. Additionally, you must possess a strong command of the Spanish language, demonstrating proficiency at a minimum of the ACTFL Intermediate-High level. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of one to three years of successful teaching experience, which may include Student Teaching Internship experience, is preferred.

You must establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, and the community while being sensitive to corporate needs and public image. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills--both oral and written--are essential for success in this role.

You should have a consistent attendance record, follow instructions, respond to management direction, and actively seek feedback for improvement. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information Systems (SIS), and email communications is required. You should continuously look for ways to improve quality and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness while striving to implement best practices in language education

Job Description

NBC 6 and Telemundo 51 are looking for a strong bilingual journalist to be the Multiplatform Assignment Manager for our duopoly news operation. This Assignment Manager will oversee the desk during the late afternoon and evening shift working closely with reporters, photographers and producers in story development and scripting. This person must have strong editorial judgment for stories that are important to both stations and be able to know the details of stories being broadcast on TV and published on the digital platforms of both stations. This Multiplatform Assignment Manager will report to the Multiplatform Duopoly Managing Editor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assign reporter’s stories and work with them in story development, finding interviews, characters, official statements and context to the story.
  • Copy edit and approve reporter’s scripts, digital articles and push alerts copy in both English and Spanish for grammar, clarity, accuracy and adherence to NBCUniversal legal and standards guidelines.
  • Develop and source story ideas, using editorial judgment, coordinating interviews and logistics for field crews.
  • Know what stories are being covered, who is covering and what platforms the story will air on.
  • React to breaking news with urgency and accuracy by coordinating the response of news staff on all platforms.
  • Lead the evening editorial meetings, contribute story ideas and be responsible for developing and cultivating contacts important to news coverage in South Florida.
  • Communicate and/or coordinate editorial content for the morning shows, leaving detailed night notes of new stories and elements gathered during the evening shift that can be used in the AM shows.
  • Ability to search for user-generated content and social media.
  • Manage schedules of assignment desk staff.
  • Ensure news stories are updated on digital platforms including websites and social media.

  • Add and update stories in content grid and Slack, ensuring updated information and video is attached.

  • Must be willing to work weekends, long hours and a variety of shifts, when necessary.
  • Rotate on-call weekend duties with other news managers. You will be responsible for facilitating newsgathering and providing comprehensive coverage of news stories.
  • Fill in for Multiplatform Managing Editor or assignment desk editors, when needed.

Qualifications

  • B.A. degree or equivalent in areas such as Journalism & Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years journalism experience.
  • Minimum two years of management experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English both written and spoken.
  • Must possess strong journalistic skills, have ability to write and edit broadcast and digital copy.
  • Creative approach to storytelling and problem solving.
  • Ability to make priority decisions under deadlines.
  • Must be self-directed, highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Must function well in a fast paced, multi-cultural environment.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Job Description

About The Job

We’re looking for an Sr. Associate Finance Manager possessing strong analytical skills, adept at drawing out insights, and demonstrating a partnership mentality. About the Role:

 

The Real Estate Manager is responsible for executing strategic real estate initiatives to support market optimization and long-term growth in their assigned markets (South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitates execution of a markets Development plan with the goal of building market share, driving guest counts, increasing average unit volume and franchisee profitability.
  • Educate and guide field operations teams regarding the benefits of market optimization and provide objective voice regarding development plan decisions. Collaborate with Franchisees to package and present prospective development sites to Real Estate Committee for review and approval of new developments and relocation opportunities.
  • Evaluate opportunities to improve existing asset base through site selection, relocations, and remodels. Develop working relationships with Real Estate Brokers to constantly identify and evaluate market opportunities. Work with Market Planning team analysis to execute Market Optimization Plans & to fill in identified white spaces.
  • Complete rigorous financial analysis and recommendations regarding requested restaurant closures in partnership with Field Operations Team.
  • Complete required paperwork for those restaurants that are not viable. Evaluate and assess viability of restaurant in partnership with Senior Real Estate Manager, & Director, Franchise Performance for assigned territory.
  • Travel is required in assigned territory to meet with Franchisees, Construction Team and Field Operations Team.
  • Focus efforts on driving positive net restaurant growth by mitigating closures and increase new restaurant openings.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in corporate commercial real estate and market research analysis in the QSR or Fast Casual industry
  • Experience with market optimization and ability to grow small businesses.
  • Familiarity with market brokers/real estate.
  • Restaurant and/or retail industry experience would be preferred.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivating, and have excellent time management and communication skills, good relationship building skills, flexible and detail oriented.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Process and analyze existing sales data, demographics data, site attributes, and competitor data to improve new site selection capabilities and sales forecasting accuracy.

  • Lead PI (Program Increment) planning preparation by ensuring all critical projects and associated work items are captured, prioritized, and ready for planning sessions.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the Subway ecosystem and develop the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to business stakeholders.
  • Align with Central PMO governance and support project/program managers in ensuring compliance with internal tools, processes, and delivery standards.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Commercialization, the Sr. Manager, Product Commercialization is responsible for leading the full commercialization process for product renovations, innovations and quality and cost improvements.
